Hours: School hours (flexible within 8:30am-3:30pm)
Type: Part-time / Contract
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in either their home or a school setting during school hours across the Dereham area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, working closely with pupils who require additional support to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their academic potential.


  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support core subjects such as English, Maths, and other curriculum areas as required
  • Create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate
  • Track progress and provide feedback following sessions
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals

  • Teaching qualification (QTS) or a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience delivering the UK curriculum
  • Experience working with children or young people (tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or support roles)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, patient, and reliable approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Background in education, youth work, or pastoral support
