Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our partnership Welsh medium primary schools in the north of Cardiff for a role starting in September on a fulltime basis. The school are eager to welcome an individual who is looking for a long-term career in a primary school setting and are happy to provide any training necessary for the successful candidate. This role will entail working with children from Nursery age up to year 2 throughout the week and may require you to work on a 1:1 basis with children who require additional learning support with numeracy and literacy. The main requirement for this role is that you can speak fluent Welsh and that you have the enthusiasm to make a positive difference on a daily basis.

Within the role you will:

• A combination of both general classroom support and 1-1 for children with additional needs
• Assist the teacher with general daily tasks (tidying the classroom, setting up equipment for new activities)
• Have strong behaviour management within the class
• Lead small group activities (literacy and numeracy)
• Support children with additional needs on a 1-1 basis
• Encourage a positive learning environment

What will you need?

• You do not need a teaching qualification
• Child only DBS on the update service
• To be registered with Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Ability to speak fluent Welsh
• 2x professional references
