A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream school in Leyland for the 2026/2027 academic year.

This position is particularly suited to university graduates and college leavers who have experience working with children and are interested in gaining practical school-based experience.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons.
  • Work with pupils individually and in groups.
  • Help students stay engaged and achieve learning goals.
  • Provide encouragement and additional support where needed.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Experience working with children is essential.
  • Relevant experience may include:
    • Sports coaching

    • Children's activity leadership
  • Professional references must be available.
