Teaching Assitant - KS1 & KS2 New

£14.25 per hour
8:45am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: November 2026

A vibrant primary school in Kirkham is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys the variety of working with pupils of different ages and abilities, supporting teaching and learning throughout the school day.

As a General Classroom Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to help create engaging learning experiences and ensure pupils remain motivated, included, and supported in reaching their potential.

Your duties may include:

• Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons, group activities and independent work.
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum-based activities.
• Working with small groups of children who require additional support.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with daily classroom routines.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

• Have previous experience supporting children within a classroom environment.
• Are confident working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Can use initiative and adapt to the needs of different classes and learners.
• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous but not essential).
