Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Providing individual and small group support to students.
  • Helping to manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervising students during break times and on school trips.
  • Contributing to the overall well-being and development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Promote positive behavior and discipline among students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not mandatory.
