Teaching Assistant New

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or behavioural challenges?

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Support Staff to work within specialist schools and provisions across Wigan.

The role:

• Supporting pupils aged 11-16 in specialist SEN/SEMH settings

• Helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally

• Providing positive behaviour support

• Working closely with teachers and other support staff

• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Have experience working with children or young people

• Have experience with SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour, or are keen to develop their experience

• Are patient, resilient and compassionate

• Can build positive relationships with pupils

• Are committed to helping young people succeed

Pay: £92.63-£110 per day, depending on role and experience
Location: Wigan
Hours: Full-time, term-time
