We are recruiting a motivated Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Leyland. This full academic year position offers the opportunity to support pupils both academically and socially, helping to create positive learning experiences across the school.

The successful candidate will play an important role delivering intervention support, assisting pupils with SEND and providing day-to-day classroom assistance.

  • Deliver focused Maths and English intervention sessions
  • Support pupils with SEND to access learning effectively
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Encourage pupil participation and engagement
  • Support behavioural, social and emotional development
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Experience working within a primary school environment
  • Knowledge of SEND support strategies
  • Strong Maths and English skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
