Teaching Assistant New

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Salisbury and the surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and pastorally, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Depending on the school and your experience, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
• Helping pupils who require additional learning or pastoral support
• Supporting students with SEND and adapting activities to meet individual needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a supportive classroom environment
• Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

We are keen to hear from candidates who are:

• Passionate about supporting children and young people
• Patient, reliable and approachable
• Confident working as part of a wider school team
• Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff
• Adaptable and willing to support pupils with a range of abilities
• Experienced in education, childcare, youth work or SEND, or looking to begin a career in education

Relevant qualifications and previous school experience are advantageous but not essential, as we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion for education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
