Teaching Assistant New

SEcondary 1:1 teaching Assistant –Fareham

Starting September on a temporary contract

Pay: £85 - £92 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 

About the role:

A full-time an energetic individual is needed to support within a well- known Fareham secondary school. The individual would need to have patience, empathy and understanding as well as excellent classroom management skills. This role is varied and could mean working 1:1 for some days and then in small groups. You would need to be flexible and oragnised. 

• Pay: Daily Rate (£85-£92)
• Location: Fareham
• Start Date: September 2026
• Hours: 08:30 - 3:30

Duties may include:

• Supporting on a 1:1 and small group basis both for academic and social learning 
• Varied interventions in secondary subjects throughout the school
• Adapting resources to meet the needs of the child
• Liasing with the teacher and SENCO to ensure teaching and learning is suitable 
• Ensuring safeguarding proceedures are understood and followed 
• Supporting with pupil regulation and emotional well-being 
• Lunch time duties – supervising children eating and interacting with peers
