This role would suit someone who is enthusiastic about supporting pupils across the primary age range and has experience working with children who require additional support. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across the primary school.
• Provide high-quality 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist small groups of children with targeted interventions and classroom activities.
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and encourage positive engagement.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN.
• Be patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to helping every child succeed and reach their full potential.
