An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant to join a successful Mainstream Primary School in Chorley. This temp-to-perm role is ideal for candidates seeking long-term career progression within education.

The successful applicant will provide general classroom support and work alongside the school's SENCO to support SEND pupils across Key Stage 2 (KS2). You will help create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

  • Support teaching and learning activities throughout KS2.
  • Assist pupils with SEND in classroom and intervention settings.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO.
  • Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group support.
  • Promote confidence, participation, and independence.
  • Support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar.
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for helping children achieve their potential.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
