Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Beaminster from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to help students make progress, develop their confidence and engage positively with school life.
Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 in the classroom
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
Providing additional support to students who may require extra assistance
Helping teachers prepare resources and deliver engaging activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a supportive learning environment
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Supporting students' academic, social and emotional development
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
A genuine interest in supporting students' education and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, approachable and able to build positive relationships
Confident working both independently and as part of a wider team
Reliable, proactive and adaptable
Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be advantageous
