Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Vale of Glamorgan from October 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain valuable school-based experience or continue their career within education.

Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Start Date: October 2026
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Daily Rate: £92.63 – £95

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally throughout the school day. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you'll help create a positive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Your duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and learning activities
  • Working one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning
  • Assisting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Helping to prepare classroom resources and displays
  • Supporting pupils' social and emotional development
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Assisting teachers with day-to-day classroom organisation

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children
  • Patient, compassionate and approachable
  • Confident building positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Adaptable and able to work as part of a team
  • Committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Experienced in schools, nurseries, youth work or childcare settings (desirable but not essential)

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • EWC Registration, or willingness to apply
  • The right to work in the UK
