Do you enjoy working with younger children and helping them develop the skills they need to thrive in school?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a 1:1 ALN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Barry, supporting a pupil within the Foundation Phase.

This is a particularly important role as you'll help the pupil develop their confidence with communication, interaction and classroom routines during the early stages of their education.

  • Communication and language development
  • Following classroom routines
  • Developing social skills
  • Participating in structured activities
  • Learning through play
  • Managing transitions throughout the day
  • Building independence
  • Emotional regulation and positive behaviour

Patient – able to give the pupil the time they need.

Consistent – comfortable following agreed strategies and routines.

Playful – able to engage younger children and make learning enjoyable.

Observant – able to recognise when a pupil needs additional support.

Previous experience in nursery, childcare, education, ALN support or care would be beneficial.

  • £13.75+ per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
