Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly primary school in Swaythling, Southampton.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing classroom support alongside dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You'll play a key role in helping the child access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN, adapting to their individual needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and wider school staff to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting is desirable.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
  • Patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
