Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £92.63 - £95 per day

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Key Stage 2 classroom in Cardiff.

This is a long-term opportunity supporting the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning, with a particular focus on helping pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) You will work collaboratively with the class teacher and Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCO) to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their individual goals.

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Promote pupils' academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs where appropriate.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive participation in the classroom.
  • Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff.
  • Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.
  • Patient, caring and resilient.
  • Experienced working with children with ALN.
  • Confident supporting pupils in a classroom environment.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to commit to a full-time, long-term position.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce).
  • Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
