A vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team for a temporary Autumn Term assignment, lasting a minimum of one full term.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, encouraging independence, and helping to maintain a positive classroom environment.

  • Work closely with teachers to support classroom learning.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support sessions.
  • Encourage pupil participation and engagement.
  • Support pupils with varying educational needs.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies.
  • Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
  • Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, childcare, or youth settings.
  • Passion for supporting children's education and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Competitive rate of pay from £14.25 to £16.00 per hour.
