As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people
  • Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a school team
  • Are looking to gain experience across a variety of educational settings

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people in an educational, childcare, coaching, care, or similar setting
  • Be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic
  • Have a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport, as travel to schools across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas may be required
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
