Location: Shirley

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, a support worker, care worker, youth worker, or someone with a background in supporting children or adults with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with SEN within a welcoming mainstream primary school. This rewarding full-time role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey by providing the consistency, encouragement and support they need to succeed.

  • Pay rate: £14.25 per hour
  • Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
  • Contract type: Full-time
  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
  • Supporting small intervention groups when required
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to promote positive outcomes

  • Individuals with personal or professional experience supporting people with additional needs

You will need:

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • At least two years' employment history
  • A Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
