Teaching Assistant New

SEND  intervention Teaching Assistant – Southampton

Pay:  £85-£95 per day

Contract: Full time

Hours: 8:30- 3:30 (potentially long term for the right candidate)

Learning Support Assistant Role required to complete 1:1 or small group intervention axtivities for core subjects throughout KS1 and 2 

This is a warm and nurturing Junior environment that places strong emphasis on children having first hand experiences, emotional development and building children’s confidence from the very start of their school journey. Staff work closely with families, creating a supportive atmosphere where young learners feel secure, valued and ready to explore new ideas.

About the Role:

• Working with a variety of children throughout KS1 and 2 
• Have experience of working in a personalised way to create trusting rapports
• Be patient, empathetic but be able to give clear and consistent boundaries
• Experience of oracy for writing, Phonics and White Rose Maths would be advantageous 
• Be happy working with children aged 4-11

Duties include:

• Helping with pupils learning and development
• Supervising pupils in the playground, dining hall, cloakrooms and in class
• Keeping records of each pupil’s progress
• Helping students develop life skills and mentoring them to have a positive outlook
• Be able to adapt resources to meet children’s individual needs
