About the Role

 

Teaching Personnel are seeking a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers to support students aged 11–16, helping them achieve their full academic and personal potential.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with SEN
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Experience working with young people (in schools or similar settings preferred)
  • A passion for education and supporting student development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
