The right support at the right moment can change a young person's entire school experience. A little encouragement, patience, and consistency can help pupils grow in confidence and reach their potential.

We're currently looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join schools across the Thetford area as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a genuine difference in pupils' everyday learning and development.

If you're dependable, compassionate, and eager to support young people, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with a variety of academic, social, and behavioural needs.

You'll help create a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel encouraged, supported, and ready to succeed.

  • Supporting pupils during lessons to improve focus and participation
  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement and consistency
  • Helping maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teachers and staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing

This is a practical, people-focused role where no two days are the same - but the impact you make will always matter.

You don't need formal qualifications to apply. We value attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn above all else.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Calm, patient, and resilient
  • Positive role models with a confident and approachable manner
  • Flexible and comfortable working in different school settings
  • Strong communicators who work well as part of a team

Previous experience in education, childcare, care work, coaching, or youth support is helpful, but not essential.

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • Access to ongoing CPD training and professional development
  • A Guaranteed Work Scheme for eligible applicants, offering additional financial security
  • Competitive weekly pay
  • Extra pay for longer commutes or extended working hours
  • Simple and user-friendly online systems
  • Continued support from a dedicated consultant

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools may be required at short notice.

If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can support young people while building valuable experience, we'd love to hear from you.
