1:1 Teaching Assistant in Mainstream Primary School – Year 2 Support Role

A welcoming and over-subscribed faith Primary School in Fulwood is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil entering Year 2 from September.
This rewarding full-time role will involve supporting a child who has responded extremely well to consistent 1:1 support throughout their first two years in school. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil continue to thrive both academically and personally within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The pupil has Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) needs alongside a medical need which requires personal care support. The school is seeking a calm, patient, and confident individual who can build a positive relationship with the child while supporting their communication, independence, and wellbeing. This child responds to scaffolded tasks and smiley faces.
The school is proud of its caring ethos, strong values, and close links with families and the wider community. Staff work collaboratively to ensure all pupils feel safe, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or childcare professional who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs within a primary school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
