We are seeking exceptional Teaching Assistants to support young people with special educational needs. This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to be a consistent, positive presence in a young person’s life, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and achieve things they never thought possible.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every student feels valued and understood.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience in every learner
  • Assisting with classroom activities and helping to bring lessons to life
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Supporting behaviour positively, with patience and consistency
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals, and families
  • Celebrating progress — no matter how big or small

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Available full time
  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding
  • Resilient and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • Strong communicators and team players
  • Willing to learn, adapt, and grow

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to make a real, lasting impact every day
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Valuable experience for careers in education, psychology, or care
  • A role that is challenging, rewarding, and never the same twice

For many of the young people you’ll support, school can be overwhelming. Your presence, encouragement, and belief in them can be the difference between a difficult day and a breakthrough moment.

This is your chance to be that difference.
