We are committed to empowering young people aged 11-16 to build fulfilling and independent lives. Through high-quality teaching, personalised support, and integrated therapeutic approaches, we support students with autism and associated needs to achieve their full potential.

Set in a beautiful environment, our provision offers engaging, hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire progress both inside and outside the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development, wellbeing, and success of our students. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

This role requires flexibility and a positive approach, including providing 1:1 support in both academic and vocational settings such as bushcraft, animal care, and life skills.

  • Provide additional explanation and guidance to students where needed
  • Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all students at all times
  • Support students in achieving their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
  • Encourage positive behaviour and adapt approaches to meet individual needs
  • Accurately record incidents, accidents, and health & safety information in line with policies
  • Support participation in group activities, encouraging social interaction and independence

Previous experience is not essential; however, a genuine passion for working with young people is key.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Ability to manage a range of behaviours, including those that may challenge
  • A child-centred approach, treating each student as an individual
  • Creativity and adaptability in supporting learning and development
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • GCSE English and Maths (minimum grade 4 or equivalent) desirable

Due to safeguarding requirements, the application process is thorough and detailed.

Applicants must complete an online application form, including full employment and education history, along with a personal statement outlining their suitability for the role.
