Teaching Assistant – Primary (KS1)

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Contract: Full Time | Long‑Term
Pay: £90 – £120 per day

This primary school is looking for a reliable and caring KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils at an important stage of their learning.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help children settle into routines, build confidence and develop early literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Your role will involve:

• Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting with phonics, reading and classroom activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Providing reassurance and structure throughout the day
• Helping children feel safe, supported and ready to learn

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with KS1 or primary‑aged children
• Is patient, calm and dependable
• Communicates clearly with staff and pupils
• Enjoys supporting early learning
