Teaching Assistant - Stafford & Stone - Start Date: After Easter Term
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant who is looking for flexible work. You will be joining a variety of our friendly and supportive schools, working to support students across the primary setting. Your duties as a Primary School Teaching Assistant will vary day to day. You will support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning where needed, and help to create a positive and inclusive environment for every child. We offer both daily supply opportunities for flexibility, as well as longer-term roles where you can support the same class or school over an extended period. Duties may also include assisting with classroom preparation, managing behaviour effectively and quickly, and providing tailored additional support to students with varying needs.
The role includes:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and learning to a high standard across the classroom.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Comfortable and confident in supporting pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
- Being able to work collaboratively with new members of staff in different schools; this can range from SLT members, Teachers and Wrap-Around Care Assistants.
- Upholding all safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable).
- Has experience working in a classroom environment in which they assisted staff with supporting children.
- Can work alongside the teacher in order to support a class with varying learners and needs.
- Confidently able to implement differentiated learning to adapt to each and every child within the classroom.
- Able to build solid, trusting relationships with staff quickly; in turn benefiting the pupils.
- Flexible and adaptable to different school settings and expectations.
- Dedicated to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across the board, in every school and classroom.
- Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environments for all pupils in which they feel valued.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Fully registered to work for Academics.
- Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
- Willing to commute to Stafford / Stone and surrounding areas daily. Pay: £93 - £100 a day (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on day rate.
