Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Key Stage 1 intervention Teaching Assistant to support in our primary school located in the BB6 area.

  • Competitive rate £12.80 - £15
  • Part time, Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 3.30pm
  • Accessible by both car and public transport
  • To start September 2024

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a child only DBS on the update service (this can be applied for at a discounted price if required)
  • Have experience supporting pupils and raising attainment
  • Assist in the management of behaviour.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to provide extra support in the core subjects, Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics.

As an intervention teaching assistant, you will be expected to plan and stratagise with the class teacher ways to address gaps in learning. You will be required to support selected pupils that are currently working towards age related expectations to get them back on track with peers. You may also need to work 1:1 with a pupil in specific subjects such as numeracy or literacy.

The school is a small 1 form entry school who pride themselves on their close-knit community, the head teacher is especially keen to develop staff continuously and encourages CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
