-          Interventions Teaching Assistant required, Blackpool. 

-          Experience working in a primary environment essential.

-          Full time position starting in May 2024. 

A client school in the Blackpool, Lancs (FY1) are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated TA team on a full time basis starting in May 2024. The successful applicant with work as an interventions teaching assistant, delivering English, Maths and Reading interventions to children across KS2.  The successful educator will work along side the class teachers to move lower ability children on with their learning by working closely with them to deliver targeted intervention sessions.

This primary school was rated ‘GOOD’ at its last OFSTED inspection with aspects of ‘OUTSTANDING’. The school are seeking a dedicated practitioner to help raise attainment across the school by working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This primary school has high levels of EAL so the selected candidate will be required to work closely with selected children to aid their speech and language.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are looking to gain experience working in primary schools. Experience working with children would be beneficial but isn’t essential as all the necessary training will be provided. To be considered you will hold a degree in a relevant field or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a degree in education/a core subject or equivalent.
  • Be confident in supporting children’s learning  on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Be looking to pursue a career in education.
