Location: Haywards Heath

Contract Type: Full-time, Long term

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving SEN schools in a beautiful two form entry school within Haywards Heath.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating and implementing tailored learning plans.
  •  Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting students with their personal care needs if required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
