Learning support assistants required to work in a large secondary school in South Manchester. Due to the increased demand for additional learning support for students we have multiple opportunities and secondary schools looking for learning support assistants when schools return and from September 2024.  

This particular role is situated in the area of Wythenshawe and will be supporting students who have social emotional mental health support requirements. You will be working with students on a 1:1 and small group basis ensuring that they achieve their expected levels of progress and continue to thrive in the education system.

Above average in size with 1100 students on roll, the school has a large percentage of students eligible for free school meals and above average numbers of students who have moderate learning difficulties. This is a full time learning support assistant role Monday-Friday with working hours of 8:30am-3:30pm commencing after the Easter holidays with the opportunity to earn a school based contract after an initial period.

To be eligible for this role you will need to have;

  • Fully enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Employment or educational references
  • Passion for education and working with young people
