Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Tredegar (NP22)

Hours: 8:30 – 3:30 (Monday – Friday)

Pay: £12.82 per hour

Start: 22nd April 2024

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit several new members to join our team of Teaching Assistants, covering local primary schools in the Tredegar area. If you’re someone who is looking to get into education, fancies a change of career, looking for a head start into employment or currently studying, you may be interested in the opportunities we currently have to offer.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist children in the classroom with basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Create an engaging and nurturing environment for young children to develop and grow their social and emotional skills.
  • Support other staff members and the daily operations of the school.

The ideal candidate:

The best individual for this position is punctual, professional and has a genuine passion for providing the best care for children. We offer the opportunity to progress through the career ladder and offer many courses to aid this such as Cover Supervisor training.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK (Passport or Birth certificate)
  • A valid proof of address (Driving License, utility bill/bank statement)
  • Valid referee details (Character references are also accepted if you have no prior work experience)
  • A child-only DBS (we can assist in attaining this!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
