Are you a graduate in English looking for an opportunity to gain experience in a secondary school setting?

We are currently working with a school just north of Manchester City Centre who requires proactive support staff to assist students struggling with English literacy. 

This role is perfect for a graduate who wants to build their experience and confidence working with secondary school students. 

You will work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support in their education. Your role will involve developing their skills and ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed. Additionally, you will work closely with teachers during lessons, helping to facilitate a smooth and efficient learning environment and providing support to all students in the class. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Possess knowledge and experience in English literature and language 
  • Be able to differentiate and adapt teaching methods to meet the educational needs of individual learners
  • Build strong rapport with both staff and students
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 12 months
