We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a local school in Ashington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as directed by the teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and schools.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
