Teaching Assistant

Rikama Education are working with a large primary school in Margate, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start after Easter.
This is a full time position which run until the end of the academic year, with a view of going permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
•To work 1:1 with a LAC pupil in Year 4 with ADHD, who is on reduced timetable
•To work in the afternoons with pupils in KS2 with SEN
•To liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and external agencies
•Follow the pupils IEP

It is essential that you have:
•Previous experience working with children with additional needs, whether that is in a classroom or similar setting
•Excellent behaviour management skills
•A DBS registered to the update system or willing to have a new one run.

The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
