Do you think you can make a positive difference in a primary school classroom? Do you want to enhance the educational development of young children? Are you passionate about primary education?

Primary schools located in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas are actively looking for enthusiastic and capable teaching assistants to join their team on both a short term and full-time basis. The role entails working with children in KS1 and KS2, identifying individual needs of the pupils and supporting their educational needs.

There are competitive rates of pay, with a minimum of £80 per day. These roles would suit a candidate that can display a warm and friendly positive approach within a classroom environment. Past experience is preferred but not essential, a display of transferrable skills and willingness to foster a positive classroom environment should be displayed.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals.
  • Assist with academic tasks, ensuring access to the curriculum and facilitating active engagement in learning for all students.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Aiding teachers in the running of classes and assisting where required whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience of a primary school environment.
  • Provide 1 to 1 support or within small groups for pupils where neccessary.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A keen passion for education and learning.
  • Experience in the classroom/ supporting as a TA is preferred but not essential.
  • A DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
