Teaching Assistant – Part Time – Warrington – October 2026 Start

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Warrington is looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils within KS1. This role is ideal for someone seeking morning hours while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities, provide additional support where required, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting with phonics, reading, and early literacy development
  • Helping to prepare classroom resources
  • Supporting behaviour management strategies
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and participation

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children or in a school setting
  • Is patient, enthusiastic, and proactive
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Has strong communication skills
