We are working with a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Chester who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The role will run until the Summer holidays, with a strong possibility of continuing into the new academic year from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a primary school setting.

  • Support pupils across the classroom, working with individuals and small groups to support learning
  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs when required
  • Help to create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
  • Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
  • Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities where needed
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
  • A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and development
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or childcare qualification
  • Experience supporting SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • A welcoming and supportive school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
