Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Support Staff to work on a flexible supply basis across a variety of primary, secondary, SEN and SEMH schools throughout Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.

You'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, supporting pupils with different learning needs and helping schools provide a positive, engaging learning environment.

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning interventions
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Support pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms and age groups

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

  • Teaching Assistant or Learning Support roles
  • Behaviour Mentoring
  • SEN or SEMH Support
  • Youth Work
  • Residential or Care Work
  • Sports Coaching
  • Tutoring
  • Customer Service or other roles involving strong communication and people skills

You should also have:

  • A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
  • Confidence working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm and patient approach to behaviour management
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Competitive daily rates of £90–£115, depending on experience
