Teaching Personnel is recruiting a passionate and adaptable Teacher of Mathematics to work with secondary schools across Alton.

The Role

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach GCSE Mathematics at Foundation and Higher Tier
  • Build students’ numerical fluency and conceptual understanding
  • Develop reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Assess progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Adapt teaching for different abilities and learning needs
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Prepare students for examinations
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Have strong secondary Mathematics subject knowledge
  • Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4
  • Use clear explanations, modelling and questioning
  • Create an inclusive and purposeful classroom
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Be committed to safeguarding and professional development
