Teaching Personnel is working closely with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Andover, Hampshire, to recruit a Humanities Teacher (History & Geography) for a September start. This role is ideal for a qualified Humanities Teacher who enjoys delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, building strong relationships with students, and supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre‑planned Geography and History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Create a positive, purposeful classroom environment in line with behaviour policies
• Maintain high expectations for learning, progress, and behaviour
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs where required
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to raise attainment
• Work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, and support staff to promote inclusion and personal development

The Ideal Humanities Teacher

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Experience teaching secondary‑aged students
• Confidence teaching Humanities (History and/or Geography)
• The ability to adapt teaching styles to support diverse learning needs
• SEN experience or a genuine willingness to support students with additional needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, enthusiastic approach and a commitment to supporting young people
