Job Title: Temporary Teacher of Geography - Spring Term

Location: Outskirts of Southampton (West)

Position Overview: Are you a passionate and experienced Geography teacher looking for a temporary opportunity in a vibrant school setting? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Temporary Teacher of Geography for the spring term. This full-time role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography, covering a range of topics including Urban Issues and Challenges, Physical Landscapes in the UK (Coasts and Rivers), Fieldwork, and The Challenge of Resource Management. Part-time applicants will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Prepare students for examinations, including Year 10 and Year 11 curriculum content.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
