Are you a creative and enthusiastic Art teacher looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in Farnborough?

Teaching Personnel is supporting an inclusive secondary school seeking to appoint a Teacher of Art from January 2027. This is a 0.6 position on a one-year fixed-term contract, with preferred working days of Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, although flexibility may be available for the right candidate.

The Role

• Teach Art across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Develop students’ practical skills, artistic techniques and visual literacy.
• Support students with portfolio development and GCSE preparation.
• Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe and well-organised creative learning environment.
• Contribute to departmental projects, exhibitions and wider enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Art.
• Can inspire students of different abilities and creative interests.
• Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Understands GCSE Art requirements.
• Is organised, collaborative and committed to high standards.
• Shares the school’s commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
