Teaching personnel are looking for a teacher to join a primary school in Bridgend on a long-term basis, we are looking for a full-time teacher to cover a temporary vacancy. We need a charismatic and energic teacher to join a class with maximum of 30 students.

The class you will be teaching is in year 4, aged between 8 and 9. The pupils have mixed abilities and have 2 learning support assistants in the classroom full time to give support to a small group of pupils. This helps with small activities when you want to engage the children in groups. You will need to cover the Primary curriculum as a whole and will be provided PPA time.

Role and responsibilities

  • PPA, you will be given time for this through the week to do this, but each student may require sperate plans
  • Ensuring all TAs are prepped and ready for each lesson to assist and help the pupils that need it in each session
  • Behaviour monitoring for some pupils in accordance to personal plans
  • Be comfortable teaching classes of up to classes of 30 students

Requirements and qualifications

  • Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or transferred
  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the update service (We can assist you with applying for one of these if you need one)
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (We can assist you with the application process if you need to)
  • Has a pro-active attitude and a passion for working within an Education setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
