Job Title: Support Worker / Teaching Assistant

Location: Northampton, Moulton, NN3

Salary: 92.63-100 per day

Contract Type: Full-time and part-time roles available

About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker / Teaching Assistant to work in a large college we support in Northampton. This role involves supporting students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access education, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), including social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Help with personal care where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Monitor and record student progress
  • Support students during activities, breaks, and school trips

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is desirable
  • Provide Personal Care (assisting with toileting)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and reliable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential
