Support Workers Required in Secondary Provisions

  • Care or support background required.
  • No school experience needed, however desirable.
  • Ability to travel to and from Blackburn.
  • Supporting students with additional needs such as, SEMH, SEN, ASC, ADHD.
  • Competitive hourly rate of pay £12.82 per hour, PAYE from April.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday (8.30am-3.15pm)
  • Varied start dates, May 2024 – January 2025
  • Flexible hours available

The roles

Your role will consist of providing high quality care to support the pupils both educationally and holistically. Some pupils may illustrate possible challenging behaviours and being able to deal with these behaviours in a calm and professional manner. Supporting the pupils throughout their time with you, following their EHC plans and adhering to their individual needs is paramount in your role, this requires you to have a pupil centred approach as their wellbeing is always priority.

The schools

The schools that Teaching Personnel work with are both mainstream secondary, Primary and SEN provisions, however the specific roles available are to support pupils in secondary schools in the Burnley and Pendle area. All pupils have additional needs with EHC plans who require further support to meet their day-to-day needs. The roles we have available are all due to the provisions needing additional support staff to be able to provide the highest quality of care to their students, your support is vital to ensuring the students are all being supported and safeguarded throughout their time in the provision.
