Role: Adhoc Teacher

Role type: Adhoc (full time and part time positions also available)

Location: Worthing and surrounding areas

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with secondary schools that are graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas and supportive teams. We are seeking educators to join them on a predominantly adhoc basis, to cover periods of staff absence.

This role would be suitable for early careers teachers who have recently qualified, or teachers with more experience who are looking for extra work alongside a permanent role.  This opportunity would also suit a teacher looking to reduce their workload or working days.

The duties of a cover supervisor/teacher can be summarised as:

  • Supervising the work that has been set on the lesson plan provided, using the necessary resources that have also been provided.
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils in line with the school’s behaviour policy.                                                 
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in line with school policy and procedures.
  • Collecting any completed work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the teacher.
  • Reporting back as appropriate on any issues that arose during the lesson.
