Secondary School Supply Teacher

Teaching Personnel have a wealth of flexible work available for Qualified Teachers to support Secondary Schools on a supply basis, providing general cover across classes in KS3 and KS4 in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

What to expect?

The flexible role is ideally for Qualified Teachers who are perhaps considerng semi-retirement, or a better work-life balance. You will provide cover for pupils across the KS3/KS4 and sometimes KS5 curriculum to meet the needs of schools within the area. There is the potential for longer term positions for the right candidate.

You can expect advance prebookings for the following week arranged by your consultant or via our TP Work App or on the morning to fulfill last minute cover requirements. 

You will be responsible for delivery of pre-planned lessons and supervision of pupils, to cover PPA and short-term absence. Ensuring effective behaviour management in line with school policy and engaging pupils within the learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Availability for standard working hours: 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, at least 2-3 days per week (Monday to Friday is advantageous)
  • QTS or FE Qualified
  • Degree level qualified ideally that specialises in a subject part of the Secondary curriculum
  • Prior experience working in a Secondary School
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Subject specific qualifications
  • Full UK Drivers licence
