Teaching Personnel invites applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring people for the post of Specialist Resource Base Teacher in Barry.

Teaching Personnel are a staffing agency that work on behalf of schools across The Vale of Glamorgan. We are currently supporting a partnership school in their search for a Teacher to work within the Specialist Resource Base.

The successful candidate will be:

● Someone with significant proven teaching experience of working with pupils on the autism spectrum

● Someone passionate and committed to providing the very best education for all children, particularly those with ALN

● An excellent communicator with a proven ability to maintain and build relationships with pupils, parents and staff

● Someone who places the wellbeing of the children at the heart of everything they do

● Someone with a strong understanding of the ALN code and committed to upholding the code

● Someone with thorough understanding of the range of needs of pupils on the autism spectrum and the implications for their communication and learning

● Someone who has an unwavering commitment to inclusion and developing provision that meets the needs of the pupils

● Someone who demonstrates high levels of initiative on a regular basis

● Someone with excellent interpersonal skills to inspire, lead, organise and motivate a team

● Someone who is committed to providing a safe inclusive environment and ensuring the successful integration of children with social communication difficulties into a mainstream school

● A person who is positive, passionate about their job, is flexible and a problem solver

● Someone engaged in reading research and CPD and is outwardly focused

● Someone who is, caring, compassionate and tolerant

Essential Criteria:

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
