Are you dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students facing unique challenges? Teaching Personnel are seeking individuals to join our schools as teaching assistants. In this role, you will help provide essential support to a pupil with Additional Learning Needs and some behavioural issues within the mainstream classroom, using your skills and talents to positively affect these children.

Responsibilities of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide support to pupils in the classroom and with sporting activities.
  • Work closely with other members of staff to help support the pupil’s education.
  • Be strong, resilient, and adaptive throughout the day.
  • Have a positive impact on all the pupils.
  • Help manage any challenging behaviours and help implement behaviour management techniques.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, providing social and emotional.

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Newport

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30

Pay: Minimum £12.90 per hour

Start Date: ASAP and September 2024

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
